It’s time to have a look at Gigabyte’s Geforce RTX 2070 Gaming OC, a custom RTX 2070 which will ship with a triple fan cooler and a factory overclock.

Like other Geforce RTX offerings, Nvidia’s RTX 2070 offers GDDR6 memory and a Turing-powered GPU core, offering users Tensor cores for AI acceleration and RT cores for increased Ray Tracing performance.

Sadly, the clock speeds of Gigabyte’s RTX 2070 Gaming OC is unknown, though it is expected to exceed Nvidia’s Reference and Founders edition specifications. The graphics card will offer 448GB/s of memory bandwidth, matching the reference RTX 2070 and RTX 2080.

Like Nvidia’s reference RTX 2070, Gigabyte’s Gaming OC model lacks support for NVLINK, Nvidia’s replacement for their SLI interface. All RTX 2070 graphics cards will lack support for SLI.

Unlike Nvidia’s reference RTX 2070, Gigabyte has dropped support for DVI-D display connectivity, instead decided to support Virtuallink (USB Type-C), three DisplayPort 1.4 ports and a single HDMI 2.0b connection.

Nvidia’s RTX 2070 core design offers users 2304 CUDA cores and supports 8GB of 14Gbps GDDR6 memory over a 256-bit memory bus.

Custom Geforce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards are already available for purchase in the UK, with Nvidia’s RTX 2070 shipping at a later date.
