MSI announces their new OPTIX line of gaming monitors

MSI reveals their new OPTIX line of FreeSync monitors

 
MSI has unveiled their first series of dedicated gaming displays, offering support for high refresh rates (144Hz) and support for AMD’s FreeSync technology. 
 
At launch MSI will have two models, the 27-inch G27C and the 24-inch G24C, both of which use Samsung-made panels and come with an 1800R curvature. MSI says that these new displays cover a 20% wider colour gamut than standard monitors. 
 

Both of these displays will come with resolutions of 1080p and come with support for 85% of the NTSC colour Gamut and 100% of the sRGB colour Gamut. These displays will come with single DisplayPort 1.2, DVI and HDMI 1.4 inputs, with both HDMI and DisplayPort offering AMD FreeSync support.   

MSI rates this display as having a 4ms Grey-to-grey response time and a display response time of 8ms at 144Hz.

At this time, MSI has not revealed the pricing or release dates of these displays, though they are expected to release before the end of the summer.
