MSI Registers 29 Suspected Ampere Nvidia graphics cards with the EEC

MSI has just registered 29 new video cards with the Eurasian Economic Commission, all of which are expected to be Nvidia RTX Ampere series graphics cards. 

All of these products have been listed as “Video Cards”, as noted by PC Gamer, with MSI listing graphics cards with V388, V389 and V390 SKU names. As reported by Videocardz, MSI’s RTX 2080 Ti features the V377 code, suggesting that these new V38X series codes are RTX 30 series products. 

These new graphics cards are expected to be Nvidia’s RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, all of which could be announced on September 2nd at Nvidia’s planned Geforce event. 

While MSI has listed 29 suspected RTX 30 series products, this does not mean that MSI plans to launch this many RTX 30 series products on day-1. This number only accounts for the number of new GPU SKUs that MSI has in development, some of which may never reach the consumer market. Alternatively, some of these models may launch long after Nvidia’s RTX 30 series launch date. 

ECC submissions are often reliable, often listing precise product names long before official product launches. This listing arrived on August 24th, little more than a week before Nvidia’s alleged RTX 30 series reveal date.
