It has been announced that Nvidia will be working with hardware partners at ASUS, HP, Powercolor, Razer and others to provide users with Nvidia Qualified external GPU solutions, which are designed for professionals to accelerate their content creation with Quadro or Titan series GPUs.

This will allow professionals to easily add extra GPU horsepower to their system externally, enabling thin and light notebooks and even workstations to benefit from the additional power that can be provided by an external graphics solution.
These external GPU solutions will become available starting in September, with Quadro solutions coming only through official Nvidia retail partners.

Quadro graphics will be available through qualified eGPU partners for those who use high-end content-creation applications for animation, color grading and rendering as well as CAD and simulation apps. The qualification process ensures users of compatibility, reliability and performance of their Quadro eGPU solution.

You can now also use TITAN Xp with more PCs, including thin & light laptops, than ever before, and with external GPU chassis from a wide range of manufacturers including Asus, HP, Powercolor and Razer

This comes as part of Nvidia’s renewed commitment to the prosumer market, with this announcement coming alongside a new Prosumer driver for the Titan Xp, which improves the performance of several pro apps like Maya and Adobe Premier Pro.
