Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti appears at Retail – Specifications Leaked

Nvidia’s GTX 1660 Ti has appeared at several Russian retailers, revealing the specifications of Nvidia next graphics card, a GPU that delivers more compute units than the GTX 1060, boosted memory bandwidth and the computational benefits offered by the company’s Turing architecture.

Palit’s Geforce GTX 1660 Ti Storm X has been listed by two Russian retailers, as spotted by Videocardz, revealing a CUDA core count of 1,536MHz 6GB of GDDR6 memory and a boost clock of 1770MHz.

On top of these specifications, Nvidia’s GTX 1660 Ti packs GDDR6 memory that’s slower than the higher-end RTX 2060, dropping its speeds from 14Gbps to 12Gbps. Even with this decrease, the GTX 1660 Ti’s memory offers 50% more bandwidth than 8Gbps GDDR5, delivering bandwidth levels that easily surpassed both the GTX 1060 and GTX 1070.

It is worth noting that Nvidia’s Turing architecture offers a myriad of computational benefits on modern game renderers, thanks to the architecture’s independent integer and floating point execution pipelines. This upgrade provides notable performance benefits in game engines that are typically considered AMD-friendly such as Frostbite, the RE Engine and id Tech 6.
