Nvidia releases their 460.97 Hotfix Driver for Geforce GPUs

Nvidia has officially launched its Geforce 460.97 Hotfix driver, addressing several issues which were present in their 460.89 driver release. This hotfix driver addresses five major issues within their latest Game Ready driver,  two of which caused issues with Nvidia-powered laptops. 

With this new driver, users of HDR displays with Nvidia graphics cards will see corrected black levels and improved levels of image quality, while users of NVML apps will have their graphics card correctly detected once more. 

Players of Marvel’s Avengers on PC should also see less stuttering from the game on PC, giving PC gamers an improved gameplay experience. Full patch notes for Nvidia’s Geforce 460.97 Hotfix driver are available below.  

Nvidia releases their 460.97 Hotfix Driver for Geforce GPUs  

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 460.97 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 460.89.
 
The hotfix addresses the following issues:

– Some apps that use NVML may not detect GPU [3200758]
– Stutter may be observed with some configurations in Marvel’s Avengers [3197999]
– Lenovo Y740 may display corruption on waking from sleep [3178279]
– Some notebooks may BSOD when waking from sleep while connected to external monitor via dock/dongle [3162411]
– With HDR enabled, black levels are incorrect. [200682795]
