Sapphire accidentally reveals an RX Vega 64 Pulse series GPU

Sapphire has released their new Radeon RX Vega 56 PULSE graphics card, delivering a compact PCB, a large dual-fan heatsink design and a factory overclock, promising to be cooler, quieter and faster than AMD reference RX Vega 56 GPU design.

To celebrate this launch, Sapphire has released an overview video for this new graphics card, showcasing the GPU’s refined feature set and perhaps a little bit more information that Sapphire originally intended.

Viewers of this video are not looking at an RX Vega 56 Pulse series GPU; they are looking at an entirely different beast. Look at the sticker/labels on the graphics card, and you will be able to see that this GPU is an RX Vega 64 graphics card. This change is not surprising given the fact that the RX Vega 56 is just a lower clocked RX Vega 64 with a reduced stream processor count, but it does confirm that there is no technical reason why Sapphire cannot create an RX Vega 64 Pulse series GPU.

Below is a table which compared the Sapphire’s existing RX Vega GPU variants and the majority of AMD’s reference Vega models. Sapphire’s hypothetical RX Vega 64 Pulse would sit somewhere in-between AMD’s reference model and Sapphire’s RX Vega 64 Pulse series GPU.

While this video is far from a confirmation that Sapphire will be releasing an RX Vega 64 Pulse series GPU, it does show that the company is capable of creating one. Whether or not they will make one is an entirely different matter.
