Sapphire has officially revealed their RX 6800/6800 XT Nitro and Pulse series graphics cards, five GPU models which will make up the company’s early custom Radeon RX 6000 series lineup.

According to Videocardz, all three models are said to feature 2.7 slot heatsink designs and utilise dual 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Sadly, the clock speeds of Sapphire’s custom RDNA 2 graphics cards are unknown at this time.

To start, er have sapphire’s premium RX 6800 XT Nitro SE, a limited edition graphics card which features ARGB (Addressable RGB) fans and display outputs which include a single HDMI 2.1 port, dual DisplayPort 1.4 connections and a single USB Type-C display output.

This model should feature the highest clock speeds of Sapphire’s Radeon RX 6800 XT lineup and ship for a higher price than Sapphire’s standard RX 6800 XT Nitro.

All Nitro series RX 6800 series graphics cards from Sapphire will feature the same backplate design, which features an RGB illuminated Nitro logo and a backplate which is partially vented at its rear. Below, we can also see that AMD’s RX 6800 series GPUs will feature a tonne of capacitors on the rear of their graphics core.

When compared to the RX 6800 XT Nitro SE, the RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT Nitro will lack the RGB illuminated fans which are included with Sapphire’s premium model. This graphics card also switches the SE’s USB Type-C display output with an addition DisplayPort connection.

This means that the RX 6800 XT Nitro SE features changes that go beyond the addition of RGB fans and higher clocked RX 6800 XT silicon. This altered display output configuration requires minor PCB/component changes. At this time, it is unknown how useful this USB Type-C display connection will become, though it is expected to be useful for use with VR headsets like the Oculus Quest 2.

With the RX 6800/6800 XT Pulse, we can see that the graphics card appears to be devoid of RGB lighting and features the same display output configuration as the RX 6800 XT Nitro (non-SE).

In design terms, the graphics card is similar to the RX 6800 XT Nitro, featuring three large cooling fans, a ventilated backplate and dual 8-pin PCIe power inputs.
