Nvidia’s RTX 2070 series of graphics cards is set to release next week, bringing with it a collection of custom offerings from every major GPU manufacturer, many of which will feature high factory overclocks and a variety of aftermarket cooler designs.

At this time the performance of Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 2070 graphics card remains unknown, but TUM_APISAK, a frequent leaker of early performance data, has uncovered what may be our first look at RTX 2070 benchmark results.

The image below lists 3DMARK Time Spy scores from an RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 and what is presumably an RTX 2070, which appears to be a custom Zotac model. The score presented is 8151, which is achieved using a Zotac RTX 2070 and an Intel i7 8700K processor, a score that is higher than most GTX 1080 series graphics cards.

The RTX 2070 is perhaps the most interesting entry into Nvidia’s graphics card lineup, given its use of GDDR6 DRAM while offering the same memory bus size as an RTX 2080. This should allow the RTX 2070 to storm past the GTX 1080 at high resolutions, given the high memory bandwidth requirements of such substantial pixel counts. There was a reason why Nvidia release GTX 1080 graphics cards with 11Gbps GDDR5X memory mid-way through the GPU’s lifecycle.
