ASUS Reveals their ROG Strix Scope Keyboard

It is hard to differentiate yourself in the world of mechanical gaming keyboards, where the majority of high-end devices now offer per-key RGB support, Cherry MX keys and the familiarity that’s offered by industry standard keyboard layouts.

With their ROG Strix Scope keyboard, ASUS plans to offer their users several changes which are designed to make things easier for PC gamers, especially those who typically play FPS titles.

For starters, the Strix Scope, which was formerly known as the Strix CTRL, offers users an extra-wide Shift and CTRL keys, which are designed to prevent misclicks when playing games. Thankfully, the remainder of the keyboard remains faithful to commonly used key layouts, which allows the Scope to maintain a level of familiarity to users.

Thanks to ASUS AURA Sync support, this keyboard offers support for customizable per-key RGB lighting, as well as support for ROG logo illumination control. On top of that, the Strix Scope’s F12 key doubles as a “Stealth” key, which when pressed can hide all applications and mute all audio in an instant. This is a useful feature for very specific circumstances, such as hiding the fact that you were gaming when you should have been working.
