AVerMedia reveals three new Gaming Capture cards, including 4K models

Game Streaming and capture have become increasingly common in recent years, not only to high-end streamers but also to mainstream players and video editing hobbyists. While solutions like the Geforce Experience and Radeon Relive offer options to record gameplay, it is hard to surpass the quality and capability of direct feed capture solutions, especially given how easily software-based solution can go wrong.

AVerMedia has announced a new lineup of 4K capable Live Gamer 4K UHD branded capture solutions, capture devices which are either capable of capturing 4K inputs directly or pass through 4K images and record downsampled 1080p footage.

These capture devices range from the Ultra-high-end to the relatively affordable, offering compatibility with streaming software like OBS and XSplit as well as AVerMedia’s proprietary RECentral software.

Starting off with the high end, we have AVerMedia’s Live Gamer 4K GC573, the company’s top-tier capture card which supports 4k 60FPS HDR capture and 4K HDR 60FPS pass-through, requiring an internal PCIe 2.0 4x connection to record footage at a data rate of up to 240Mbps. Below are the Live Gamer 4K GC573’s full specifications.
