15 Minutes of Anthem Gameplay Released, Showcasing a Full Mission

Bioware’s Anthem will release on February 22nd, but so far EA has allowed relatively little information about the game to be published, pushing out a little gameplay every now and then without much context within the larger story that the game will tell.

Gameplay-wise, Anthem appears to be a mixture of Destiny and Warframe, allowing groups of up to four players the ability to play together across a variety of Javelin Exosuits, each of which offers a unique playstyle.

IGN has managed to convince Bioware, and their EA overloads, to release a section of extended gameplay for the title, showcasing 15 minutes of a mission called “Lost Arcanist”, where players must find a character called Matthias, who is being hunted by enemies called scars.

The footage below showcases combat, world exploration and a lot of fancy aerial manoeuvres, showcasing the game’s fast-paced Interceptor, mage-like Storm and heavyweight Colossus Javelins. Players will be able to customise their Javelins to offer unique appearances as well as modified combat capabilities, opening up a lot of room for variation.

Anthem releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 22nd, with a VIP Demo coming to Origin Access subscribers on January 25th while the game’s open demo will launch on February 1st. Both of the game’s demo versions will be available for two days. Origin Access and EA Access subscribers will be able to start playing the final game on February 15th. EA/Origin Access Subscribers will access the game’s trial version on this date while Origin Access Premium users will get access to the full game.
