Bethesda has officially revealed DOOM 64 for Switch – Hints a multi-platforms release

During last night’s Nintendo Direct, Bethesda officially announced that DOOM 64 was set to be re-released on Nintendo’s Switch console, bringing the classic to modern gaming hardware. 

Yes, OC3D is a PC focused website, and yes, DOOM 64 has only been revealed on Nintendo’s Switch handheld. However, we believe it is likely that the game will launch on other platforms. Bethesda did not state that the game was a Nintendo Switch exclusive, just that the Switch version would release on November 22nd. Beyond that, ratings for the game state that the game is coming to PC and PlayStation 4, via the ESRB. Furthermore, the game has also been rated as a multiplatform release in Australia.     

When asked about a potential release for the game on other platforms, Bethesda stated that “that’d be neat” hinting that the game will release on other platforms. Below is a video of Bethesda’s DOOM 64 reveal on Nintendo’s latest Direct Livestream. 

DOOM 64 is due to release on Nintendo Switch on November 22nd.
