BlizzCon Virtual Ticket Holders will be able to play a WoW Classic Demo

Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Classic will be available to play at BlizzCon 2018, with a demo being available on the show floor as well as the homes of virtual ticket holders. This will allow Warcraft fans to play Blizzard’s World of Warcraft Classic demo without leaving the comfort of their own home, an exciting prospect for WoW fans who cannot afford to travel to BlizzCon.

The demo will be available to BlizzCon virtual ticket holders shortly after the convention’s opening ceremony on November 2nd (at around 1 pm PDT). The World of Warcraft Classic Home Demo will be the same as the demo on the BlizzCon show floor, offering a “limited questing experience” in a pair of early-level zones for the game’s Alliance and Horde factions.

This early demo will be available until Movember 8th at 10 am PST, giving BlizzCon virtual ticket holders less than a week to play the demo.

World of Warcraft Classic BlizzCon Demo

Every BlizzCon, we look for opportunities to bring new aspects of the experience to our community around the world. This year, we’re excited to announce that for the first time ever, BlizzCon Virtual Ticket holders will join BlizzCon attendees as the first people to play the World of Warcraft Classic demo we’re creating for BlizzCon at home.

Shortly after the BlizzCon opening ceremony on November 2 (on or around 1pm PDT), players will be able to download the same in-development BlizzCon WoW Classic Demo that will be playable on the show floor. Players will have a chance to explore and enjoy a limited questing experience through a pair of classic early-level zones—one Horde and one Alliance—and experience firsthand our recreation of the original Azeroth.

Once the demo is live, you’ll be able to play until 10am PST on November 8, giving BlizzCon attendees a chance to check it out again once they get back home.

Purchasers of the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket will also be able to access in-game items for Overwatch, World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone, while also gaining access to streams for every panel and stage event at the convention.

The BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will cost £34.99 in the UK.
