Crysis’ Enhanced Edition Mod gives the game a major graphics boost

Crysis Remastered by be coming this summer, but what if you want to re-experience the PC gaming classic with revamped visuals today? This is where Crysis Enhanced Edition comes in, a new mod from Remaster Studio which overhauls Crysis’ visuals with high-resolution textures, richer particle effects, reworked lighting and more.

Remaster Studio has also suggested that a version of this mod will be released for Crysis Warhead, though at this time no timeframe is available for this mod’s public release. Unfortunately, Crysis Enhanced Edition is a mod that’s currently only available to Remaster Studio’s Patreon supporters, being available to the team’s Silver-tier supporters. These supporters pay Remaster Studios $5 or more per month for their efforts.

Crysis Enhanced Edition does not rely on Reshade Presets to achieve its enhanced visuals and supports the Crysis’ Steam, Origin and GOG versions on PC. Some of the enhancements offered by this mod are breathtaking, though some of the team’s changes completely change Crysis’ look. This means that Crysis Enhanced Edition may not be to the tastes of all Crysis fans.

Remaster Studio has provided us with a link to a gallery of Crysis Enhanced Edition Screenshots, which highlight the game’s graphical upgrades.

At this time, Crytek has not confirmed the release date of Crysis Remastered. We know that the game will receive a major graphical overhaul, offering gamers improved art assets, high-resolution textures, ambient occlusion, raytracing, screen-space reflections and more.
