Dragon Ball Game – Project Z Revealed for PC in 2019

The Dragon Ball franchise is undoubtedly experiencing a surge in popularity, with the Dragon Ball: Super TV proving popular on television screens while the series’ latest movie, Dragon Ball Super: Broly has quickly become the most popular movie in Dragon Ball history.

Things aren’t lax on the video game side either, with Dragon Ball Xenoverse continuing to receive new DLC content while FighterZ continues to prove that Super Saiyans deserve a place in the pro fighting game community. However, there is still room for another game, at least in the eyes of Bandai Namco.

A new Dragon Ball game is coming in 2019, a title which currently sports the name Dragon Ball Game – Project Z, a working title for a new RPG. The trailer follows the story of series protagonist Son Goku, showcasing several iconic moments within the series as well as what appears to be open world elements.

Sadly, beyond the fact that the game is an RPG and follows the story of Dragon Ball Z, very little is known about the game, though the game does look great under the latest version of Unreal Engine 4. The trailer below showcases fights between Goku and Piccolo, Vegeta and Frieza, though it is likely that the game will also showcase the Android, Cell and Majin Buu Sagas, assuming the name “Project Z” is anything to go by. I wonder if series favourite “Farmer with a Shotgun” will make an appearance?

Dragon Ball: Project Z is currently scheduled to release in 2019 on PC (via Steam), Xbox One and PS4.
