EA releases a new Star Wars: Battlefront 2 story trailer

EA has released a new story trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II, showcasing an era where the Emperor has fallen, the Death Star II is in ruins and the Empire is struggling to maintain control of the galaxy and the rebellion continues to grow stronger.

Unlike its predecessor, Star Wars Battlefront II will feature a single-player campaign, delivering a story that predominantly takes place between the events of Star Wars Episodes VI and VII. This places the game’s protagonist, Iden Versio, in an era where the Empire falls and the New Republic takes form.

Ignite the inferno and burn the Rebellion to the ground in Star Wars Battlefront 2’s single-player campaign. Take on the role of Commander Iden Versio in a story following the destruction of the Death Star II and the death of the Emperor.

The trailer itself showcases both on-ground and in-space combat scenarios, giving players a great opportunity to get the hang of the game’s control before moving online, as well as the ability to see a never before part of the new Star Wars canon.

Other videos about Battlefront II’s single player has also shown the Emperor reveal a little information on “Operation Cinder”, which some Star Wars fans will know is part of a wider plan known as “Contingency”. These events will only be familiar to those who are up to date on recent Star Wars literature, though it would be spoilerific to speak about it in more detail to other Star Wars fans.

Star Wars: Battlefront II will release on November 17th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
