In recent years both AMD and Nvidia have bundled games with their GPUs, with many buyers selling these codes to recoup some of their investments in new GPU hardware.   
 
In the past, every time there has been a GPU/game promotional bundle from either AMD or Nvidia, large numbers of these codes have been resold on websites like Ebay, G2A or on public forums. This is a matter of concern for game developers as these resold codes are sold at lower prices than retail copies, with the developer providing these codes specifically for Nvidia GPU users and not for the wider market. While these resold codes are not a “lost sale” for the games developers, they are codes that have been sold at a sub-optimal price, leaving both Nvidia and game developers in a place where

Now Nvidia has implemented a new system where gamers can redeem game bundle codes, which works through the Geforce Experience and can automatically redeem codes to linked UPlay and Steam accounts.
 
In Nvidia’s new “Prepare for Battle” bundle FAQ, they announced that coupons can only be redeemed with select GPUs, which means that bundle codes can only be used with select hardware, preventing the sale of these codes to gamers with hardware that is different from the seller. This new system will also prevent codes from being redeemed outside of the region of sale, again limiting resale options. 
 
 
 
     Graphics Card Requirements- Some coupons can only be redeemed on selected graphics card. These coupons are     typically tied to a graphics card purchase or promotional giveaway. Please make sure your graphics card is installed before redemption.

Regional/Country Requirements- Some coupons require that they be redeemed in specific regions or countries. Please redeem the code in the appropriate region/country.

Age Requirements – Some coupons have age restrictions due to sensitive content. Please check that your NVIDIA Account meets the age requirement.

These changes will prevent the resale of game codes to a certain extent, allowing Nvidia and game developers to create better pricing deals for their game bundles. If the risk of resale is minimised developers.publishers can maximise retail sales at retail prices, which still offering game bundles with hardware manufacturers.
