Gears of War 5 is coming to Windows 10 and Xbox One
Gears of War 4 is easily one of Xbox One’s highlights when it comes to graphical quality, using the Unreal Engine 4 to its fullest potential to offer spectacular visuals and stellar performance on both Xbox and PC hardware.Â
With Gears of War 5, The Coalition has promised that the game will support HDR, 4K resolutions and a smooth 60FPS framerate, offering gamers both high-performance levels and high framerates, though it is likely that The Coalition plans to continue using variable resolution technology to achieve this on Xbox One. It is also possible that the game targets 30FPS on Xbox and will produce a 60FPS framerate on Xbox One X in some form of performance mode, much like Gears of War 4 after its Xbox One X patch.Â
Keeping this in mind, it is likely that Xbox One X will support 4K resolutions and 60FPS, but not at the same time. This will undoubtedly be the case if the game has a similar performance profile to Gears of War 4 and doesn’t target 60FPS on both Xbox One and Xbox One X.Â
In Gears 5 as Kait, journey across the biggest, most beautiful Gears world ever created. Play solo or with a friend in local split-screen co-op, or online co-op and experience every mode in 4K Ultra HD resolution with stunning HDR at a smooth 60 frames per second. Coming in 2019.
 Â
At Microsoft’s conference, The Coalition released both cinematic and gameplay trailers for Gears of War 5, confirming that Kait will be the main protagonist of the game and that the title will be playable from start to finish with two players in split-screen co-op.Â
Out of all of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere releases, Gear of War 4 is undoubtedly the best PC version of an Xbox game that the program has ever produced, offering stellar performance, a useful benchmarking mode and a fully unlocked framerate.Â
