Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will be releasing on Steam on April 20th

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will be releasing on Steam on April 20th, finally bringing the game to Windows 7/8.1 users and PC users outside the Windows 10 storefront.  

  
This new version of Halo Wars comes with enhanced PC visuals, PC oriented controls and all of the original game’s DLC, though this Steam version will be the first time that this game will be available as a standalone title. Previously this game was only available with Halo Wars 2’s Ultimate Edition, which came with a premium price tag. 

 

  

Below are Halo Wars 2’s PC system requirements, which confirm that the game will support older Windows OS’ and take up a mere 12GB of storage space. 

 

      MINIMUM:

    • OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit or higher
    • Processor: Intel Core i3 or Equivalent
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4200 NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M AMD Radeon R5 M240
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 12 GB available space

      RECOMMENDED:

    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i5 or Equivalent
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 560, 650, 750 AMD HD 5850, 6870, 7790
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 12 GB available space
