id Software and Avalanche releases extended RAGE 2 Gameplay Footage at E3

Bethesda has opened their E3 2018 showcase with some RAGE 2 gameplay, showcasing what is possible then the talents of id Software and Avalanche Studios are combined to create an open world FPS.

Consider Mad Max combined with DOOM 2016 and you can pretty much know what to expect from RAGE 2, combining a vast open world with tight shooting mechanics to create an experience that works as both an FPS and as an open world game, offering gamers the best of both worlds.

Avalanche has confirmed that RAGE 2 will be using a new version of the developer’s in-house APEX game engine, the same engine that Just Cause 2 was built on. While some of  RAGE 2’s visuals seem familiar to DOOM 2016 players, we can assure you that this game is not made using id Software’s id tech 6 engine.

Below is RAGE 2’s E3 2018 gameplay footage, where Bethesda has confirmed that gamers can expect to play the game in Spring 2019.

RAGE 2 is set to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, hopefully combining the talents of the open world gurus at Avalanche with the FPS kings at id Software to create a compelling gaming experience that can also prove to be a graphical powerhouse with stable performance on all platforms.
