id Software and Avalanche releases extended RAGE 2 Gameplay Footage at E3
Consider Mad Max combined with DOOM 2016 and you can pretty much know what to expect from RAGE 2, combining a vast open world with tight shooting mechanics to create an experience that works as both an FPS and as an open world game, offering gamers the best of both worlds. Â
Â
Avalanche has confirmed that RAGE 2 will be using a new version of the developer’s in-house APEX game engine, the same engine that Just Cause 2 was built on. While some of RAGE 2’s visuals seem familiar to DOOM 2016 players, we can assure you that this game is not made using id Software’s id tech 6 engine.Â
Below is RAGE 2’s E3 2018 gameplay footage, where Bethesda has confirmed that gamers can expect to play the game in Spring 2019.Â
RAGE 2 is set to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, hopefully combining the talents of the open world gurus at Avalanche with the FPS kings at id Software to create a compelling gaming experience that can also prove to be a graphical powerhouse with stable performance on all platforms.Â
