It looks like Mass Effect: Andromeda will not be receiving single player DLC

Over the past few days, rumours have been running wild regarding the development of Mass Effect Andromeda patches and DLC content, with reports from “Sinclair Networks” claiming that the game’s DLC was cancelled.

This was denied by several Bioware Employees who claimed to have never heard of the company and that all DLC is developed in-house and not by a 3rd party studio. Even so, the developer didn’t confirm or deny that DLC for the game was in active development.

Now several sources from within Bioware have confirmed to Kotaku that Mass Effect Andromeda would not be getting any single player DLC, unless the studio changes their mind in the near future. Recent reports have also claimed that Bioware’s Montreal team, the developers of Mass Effect Andromeda, has been downsized, with developers moving to different products like the next Dragon Age and Anthem.

(No Quarian Ark DLC?)

If these reports are true, Mass Effect: Andromeda has pretty much been shelved, making it unlikely that the game will receive a direct sequel anytime soon. It looks like Bioware will not risk returning to Andromeda anytime soon, which is a shame.
