Middle-Earth: Shadow of War Shelob trailer

Monolith entertainment has released a new trailer for Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, which revolves around the character of Shelob, the “great spider” that inhabits a lair within the “mountain of shadows”. This is the same spider that Frodo and Sam encounter in the Lord of the Rings as they enter Mordor.

Shelob will act as an antagonist in Shadow of Mordor, with Talion and Celebrimbor seemingly relying on her “visions” and “prophecies” at some point in the game. Shadow of War will be the first place where Shelob has been shown in a human form, though in the trailer it is clear that the spider has her own agenda.

Shelob – you know her name, but what of her intentions? Can you trust the Spider? Play Middle-earth: Shadow of War, available beginning October 10, 2017 on Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC

Shadow of War will release on October 10th on PC, Xbox One and PS4, having been delayed earlier in the year to add additional polish to the game.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War expands gameplay in every dimension, including the massive open world, the story, the RPG systems, and personal player stories of the Nemesis System. As with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Monolith is committed to delivering the highest quality experience. In order to do this, we have made the difficult decision to move our launch date to ensure that Middle-earth: Shadow of War will deliver on that promise.

We understand that it might be disappointing to have to wait a little longer for the release and are sorry for the delay, but we are working hard to make an amazing game. We’re excited to show more at E3.

This game will be releasing on PC, Xbox One and PS4, with the game coming to both Steam and the Windows Store on PC.
