Nvidia has released a 4K 60FPS gameplay trailer for Project Cars 2, proving that the game can be run at 4K 60FPS on a GTX 1080 with some impressive visuals.
Slightly Mad Studios, the developers behind Project Cars, have not revealed much information about the new game, though the game is said to have over 50 locations and over 200 tracks and 8 different racing disciplines.

This sequel will build on the foundations of the original game, with several modifications to the game’s rendering system and physics already being in place. It has also been suggested that the game will feature a new co-op career mode and several new online community events like online “track days”.

It is clear from this video that this game will be developed in partnership with Nvidia, with the game likely use Nvidia-oriented graphical effects like HBAO and PhysX. Project Cars 1 used a CPU-based version of PhysX, with Slightly Mad Studios neither confirming or denying that PhysX will be used in the game.

Project Cars 2 is coming soon to PC! Take an early look at the gameplay in full 4K 60fps goodness. Captured on GeForce® GTX 1080 at Ultra Settings.
