Primate Labs launches its Geekbench 5 Beta
Given the fact that this is a beta release of a new benchmark, users should know that scores obtained with Geekbench 5’s Beta will not be comparable to scores with Geekbench 4. These scores will also not be comparable to scores from Geekbench 5’s final release. This beta release is designed to garner feedback from end-users.Â
More information about Geekbench 5’s beta is available below and on the official Geekbench website.Â

Geekbench 5 Beta 1 is available for download! Geekbench 5 measures CPU and GPU Compute performance more accurately than ever before. Geekbench 5 provides both new workload and improved workloads which test your system against challenges relevant for running modern applications.
CPU Benchmark
The CPU Benchmark suite has been extended to include new workloads that measure CPU performance in new application areas such as Augmented Reality and Machine Learning. Existing tests have been optimized to improve performance and have been extended to include larger data sets, resulting in more relevant and accurate scoring. A complete description of the CPU Benchmark tests included in Geekbench 5 Beta 1 is available in the Geekbench 5 CPU Workloads document.Compute Benchmark
The Compute Benchmark suite has been extended to include support for Vulkan, the next-generation cross-platform graphics and compute API. All compute APIs supported by the Compute Benchmark also feature improvements to performance, correctness, and accuracy across all platforms. A complete description of the Compute workloads included in Geekbench 5 Beta 1 is available in the Geekbench 5 Compute Workloads document.
