RAGE 2 received an official QuakeCon 2018 trailer

RAGE 2 was one of Bethesda’s E3 2018 highlights, promising to merge the FPS talents of id Software with the Open World expertise of Avalanche Studios to create the greatest Open World FPS on the market.

At QuakeCon 2018, Bethesda has released more than seven minutes of RAGE 2 gameplay, showcasing several player powers, weapons and vehicle-to-vehicle combat, revealing a game that brings DOOM/Wolfenstein-like FPS combat into a Mad Max-like universe, which looks just as fun as it sounds.

Players will assume the role of Walker, a Ranger of the wasteland who will journey across the world to take on a variety of factions and use a range of guns, vehicles and other powers to take on The Authority, a terrifying organisation that acted as the main antagonist of the original RAGE.

RAGE 2 promises to deliver a world with no loading screens, satisfying combat both on foot and in vehicles with a steady framerate. The footage below is in 60FPS, though the developers of the title have confirmed that they are only targeting 60FPS on enhanced consoles like the PS4 Pro, Xbox One and PC, with base Xbox and PS4 consoles operating at 30.

RAGE 2 is set to release in Spring 2019.
