Rare releases detailed Sea of Thieves PC system requirements

When designing Sea of Thieves, Rare has been upfront about their intention to get this game run well on low-end hardware, going so far as to offer “cursed” graphical settings and a resolution option of 540p (4x fewer pixels than 1080p) in the PC version. These settings will allow users of older Intel Integrated graphics chips to play the game, which is excellent news for low-budget gamers.

That does not mean that the PC version will be easy to run on the high-end, as when cranked up to 4K the title will still need a Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti or an AMD RX Vega 64 to attain a 60FPS framerate. This game will be able to utilise your high-end hardware when all of the details are cranked up to the max.

Judging from the requirements below, the title will perform best on AMD, placing an RX 460 beside a GTX 1050 Ti, an RX 470 beside a GTX 1060 and a GTX 1080 Ti beside an RX Vega 64, though this is something that will need to be confirmed at launch with dedicated testing.
