This is the game that gave EA a good series name to ruin, offering a variety of single-player modes alongside online multiplayer battles that could feature up to 32 players. Fight as the Empire to crush the Rebellion or side with the Rebel Alliance in Galactic Conquest mode to liberate the Galaxy planet-by-planet, the choice if up to you. Â
On Steam and GOG the game is available for under £7, with both platforms advertising support for modern OS’, multiplayer and cloud saves, delivering PC players a fully featured Battlefront experience, which is great news for gamers who wish to re-experience this gaming classic. Â
 Â
STAR WARS Battlefront is an action/shooter game that gives fans and gamers the opportunity to re-live and participate in all of the classic Star Wars battles like never before. Players can select one of a number of different soldier types, jump into any vehicle, man any turret on the battlefront and conquer the galaxy planet-by-planet online with their friends or offline in a variety of single player modes.
Single player modes include “Instant Action”, “Galactic Conquest” and the story-based “Historical Campaigns” mode that lets gamers experience all of the epic Star Wars battles from Episodes I-VI, fighting from the perspective of each of the four factions within the game.
Star Wars: Battlefront released back in 2004, which means that any modern PC should be able to run the game with ease. The only requirement is a PC with a Windows-powered OS, support for DirectX 9 and an x86 processor. Even PCs with integrated graphics should be able to run this game without issues.Â
PC gamers can now purchase Star Wars: Battlefront on Steam and GOG.Â
