The Evil Within 2 has been updated to add a first-person mode to the game

Tango Gameworks has updated The Evil Within 2 with a new first-person mode, allowing gamers on PS4, Xbox One and PC to experience the game from a new perspective, whether you are replaying the title or trying out the title for the first time.

This new option is available within the game’s options menu on all platforms, allowing the game’s foes to appear larger and more terrifying thanks to the new gameplay mode.

Below is a comment from Shinsaku Ohara, a producer at Tango Gameworks, explaining what this new game mode offers.

A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game’s situations through Sebastian’s eyes, it’s a really neat experience,

I think exploring Union in first-person makes the scale feel even bigger than it does when you’re in third-person. Also, being able to see our environments and enemies up close allows players to get an even better look at how much effort went into their designs.

At this time it is unknown whether or not the game’s free trial has been updated with this new mode, though for the next 24-hours the full game will be available with a 50% discount on Steam.
