Unigine delay the release of their Superposition Benchmark until April 11th

Unigine has now delayed the release of their Superposition Benchmark until April 11th in order to fully integrate their new benchmark global leaderboard into their latest benchmarking tool.

This new global leaderboard will allow PC users to share their scores, compare results and even run overclocking competitions for world record benchmark scores.

Unigine’s new Superposition benchmark will come with both VR and standard display modes and will also feature full user interactivity in “game mode”, proving that the game uses real-time simulation techniques and not pre-baked animations.

This new benchmark is based on the Unigine 2 engine, with the teaser trailer below providing a small glimpse of the visuals that the benchmark will be showcasing.

Below is Unigine’s official response to Superposition’s delayed launch, stating that this is the first time that they have integrated an online leaderboard into a benchmarking utility and that Superposition is otherwise in a finished state.

Hello all!

As you see, we planned to release Superposition on April 6. But now the date has changed to April 11.
Of course, you’re wondering what happened? Well, here is the story.
Superposition Benchmark is completely finished and ready for the release. But this time we are also going to launch UNIGINE’s Global Leaderboard, where you can share your scores, compare the results, run overclocking competitions and set world records.

Making benchmarks is quite an ordinary task for our team. But making a Leaderboard and integrating it with the benchmark is some kind of a new challenge for us. Though developers are working non-stop now, we need some extra time to run final tests.

The good news is that the final version of the Superposition Benchmark looks even more beautiful than in the previous video teasers! Surely you’ll like it!

We apologise again for shifting the release date. But we want both the benchmark and the Leaderboard to be stable and work properly. And we hope, you want it too!

Unigine’s Superposition benchmark will now release on April 11th, with a traditional performance test, a GPU thermal/cooling stress test and a dedicated VR mode and interactive “game mode”.
