Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is available to play for free this weekend

Until September 3rd, Warhammer: Vermintide II will be available to play for free on PC, giving gamers the chance to battle against the armies of Chaos and a chance to stem the tide of vicious Skaven Ratmen.

During this promotional period, Virmintide II will also be available with a 50% discount, making the game £11.89 in the UK. Gameplay-wise, the title is similar to Valve’s Left 4 Dead series, replacing Zombies and other infected with a range of warriors from the Warhammer fantasy universe, primarily from the unit rosters of the armies of Chaos and vile Skaven horde.

When compared to its predecessor, the addition of Chaos Warriors adds a lot of extra combat variety to the game, offering heavily armoured opponents to juxtapose the fast and cunning Skaven Vermintide. The game also features an upgraded engine, which ships complete with DirectX 12 support, higher quality texture streaming and significant boosts to both character and environmental details.
