ADATA launch their XPG SX7000 PCIe NVMe SSD

ADATA launch their XPG SX7000 PCIe NVMe SSD, which comes with 3D NAND and delivers read/write speeds of up to 1800MB/s and 850MB/s respectively.

These new SSDs will be available in capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB, with the first three capacities coming to market soon, with the 1TB version releasing later this year. These drives will come with a 5-year warranty, though like their higher-end SX8000 SSD, lower capacity models may offer lower sequential read and write speeds than their larger 512GB and 1TB models.

All of these SSDs will use 3D NAND, promising greater performance, heightened efficiency and larger capacities per-chip than traditional 2D/Planar NAND. ADATA’s use of 3D NAND is also said to increase the longevity of this drive by 25%, with this drive featuring a MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) of 2 million hours.

At this time ADATA has not announced the pricing of their new SX7000 series of SSDs, though this should be revealed within the next few days or weeks.
