Apacer has revealed their gun-themed PT920 Commando PCIe NVMe SSD, which offers read speeds of up to 2,500 MB/s sequential.

This SSD comes with a unique heatsink design, which offers an aesthetic that is similar to the handles of M4 and M16 assault rifles, with the SSD itself coming with 240GB and 480GB capacities. Sadly Apacer does not reveal what controller and NAND the SSD uses, though they have revealed the drive’s performance characteristics.
Both the 240GB and 480GB versions of SSD will offer sequential read speeds of 2,500 MB/s, with the 240GB and 480GB version offering sequential write speeds of 860 MB/s and 1,300MB/s respectively. The 4K random write performance of this drive is rated at up to 175,000 IOPS for the 480 GB model and up to 160,000 IOPS for the 240 GB model.
