ASUS’ Ryzen 4800H-powered TUF Gaming Notebooks are now available for purchase

ASUS’ has just released its A15 and A17 series of TUF notebooks, offering mobile gamers access to the power of AMD’s Ryzen 7 4800H processor and Nvidia’s GTX 1660 Ti and RTX 2060 mobile graphics. 

AMD’s Ryzen 7 4800H is a 45W processor which offers users eight cores and sixteen threads, enabling incredible amounts of single-threaded and multi-threaded performance, which when combined with 3200MHz memory DIMMs create systems with are capable of both high-end gaming and mobile workstation use. 

For $999.99, ASUS currently offers buyers AMD’s Ryzen 7 4800H, 16GB of 3200MHz DDR4 memory, 512GB of NVMe SSD storage and a 15.6-inch 144Hz FHD IPS-like display on its TUF A15, while for $1,199.99, this system is upgraded to use an RTX 2060 and a 1TB NVMe SSD. 

With its A17, mobile gamers can currently pre-order a model with a 17.3-inch 120Hz FHD IPS-like monitor, AMD’s Ryzen 7 4800H, 1TB of NVMe SSD storage and 16GB of 3200MHz DDR4 memory for $1099.99. Both the A17 and A15 utilise 90WHr batteries which are said to be capable of up to 8.7 hours of web browsing and up to 12.3 hours of video playback. 

UK pre-orders for these notebooks are already available from several online retailers, though at this time it is unknown how the available stock of these notebooks will be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Affordable high-end laptops are selling out fast these days, thanks to the increased demand for mobile workstations and gaming systems.
