You thought that KFC Gaming’s KFConsole was a joke? It isn’t. KFC has declared that the “console wars are over”, revealing the KFConsole and the company’s long list of hardware partners, which include ASUS, Cooler Master, Intel and Seagate. The KFConsole is real, and it includes everything that KFC Gaming has promised, even the chicken warming compartment.

Using Intel’s NUC 9 Extreme compute platform, an ASUS graphics card, Seagate SSD storage and a custom Cooler Master KFC enclosure, the KFC console promised to deliver VR support, ray tracing acceleration and support for 4K displays and refresh rates as high as 240Hz. This is a gaming platform that “Finger Clickin’ Good”.

With the KFConsole, KFC Gaming is proving that PC is the best console, offering gamers unique features and what appears to be the full PC gaming experience from a console-sized device. The heat output of this system can also be put to good use thanks to this monster’s “Chicken Chamber”, a compartment which uses this system’s natural heat and airflow to keep your hot, crispy chicken ready to eat between rounds.

The KFConsole is housed within a custom Cooler Master NC100 enclosure and used an Intel NUC 9 Extreme Compute Element, a factor that makes the KFConsole upgradeable. Both the console’s graphics card and CPU/motherboard element are replaceable, delivering gamers a fully upgradable console experience. The KFConsole offers gamers a level of upgradability that the PS5 and Xbox Series systems cannot match.
