Logitech has announced that they have acquired the headset maker Astro for $85 million, adding the company to their gaming division and all of their current designs under the Logitech Gaming banner. 
 
Astro currently focuses on gaming and professional headsets for the console market, with Logitech seeing how well their expertise and products would compliment Logitech’s own PC-centric gaming hardware lineup. 
 
This means that Astro Gaming will not completely disappear within Logitech, with both Astro Gaming and Logitech Gaming brands working side-by-side to focus on their preferred markets separately, console and PC gaming.

Back in September 2016, Logitech acquired Saitek from MadCatz for $13 million, showcasing Logitech’s desire to enter new markets through the acquisition of smaller peripheral creators.
