Alphacool has officially unveiled their first Eiswolf series water block for Nvidia's RTX series graphics cards, the world's first pre-filled water cooler for the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti.

The Eiswolf series combines a passive metallic heatsink with an attached closed-loop liquid cooler (CLC), which connects to the passive heatsink to deliver liquid cooling for the GPU core and semi-passive cooling for the GPU's VRMs and memory components. The advantage that this solution provides is that the passive heatsink portion of the unit can be removed and replaced for use with different graphics cards and PCB layouts, making the CLC portion of the product reusable.

Alphacool will ship this unit with a backplate, which is designed to connect to the rear of Nvidia's RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti graphics cards to deliver increased cooling capacity and an improved external aesthetic. The CLC section of the liquid cooler also uses standard G1/4 inch fittings, which allows the tubing to be replaced and the block to be integrated into a fully custom liquid cooling setup.

While Alphacool's Eiswolf 240 GPX-PRO liquid coolers are versatile, they cannot offer the same levels of thermal performance as a full-cover water block, as full-cover blocks will allow coolant to flow directly over the VRM and memory sections of a graphics card, a superior solution to the semi-passive solution used in the Eiswolf.

The Eiswolf also offers user quick-disconnects, allowing users to expand their water cooling setup to include an Eisbaer CPU AIO water cooling kit, creating a water cooling loop with two pumps and two radiators. This solution adds an extra layer of redundancy to the water cooling system thanks to the use of two pumps.

Yea they really need to hire a stylist. It looks very cheap, but it isn't. You won't save much money on their products. Alphacool has some quality stuff but they really need to rethink their strategy. You had idea, it failed, move on. Don't force it.

People are separating from big bag of coins for watercooling, at least make it look like it is worth the money.Quote
