be quiet reveals their Light Base 600 and 900 cases at Computex 2024

Standard, inverted, or coffee table layouts – The Light Base 600 and 900 does it all

At Computex 2024, Be Quiet showcased two new PC cases, the Light Base 900 and the Light Base 600. Both cases feature similar designs, with the Light Base 600 being a smaller, more compact, version of the 900. Both cases are due to become available in September or October 2024 with availability in Black and White.

Beer!

Before we dive deeper into these two case designs, we will note that be quiet brought beer onto the Computex show floor. As a German company, be quiet opted to bring a little bit of home with them to Taipei. As such, attendees got to enjoy some genuine German beer as they got to look at be quiet’s latest wares. That’s some top class national pride right there! Nothing like talking about the latest PC parts over a glass of the good stuff!

Meet the Light Base 900

Below we have the Light Base 900, which will be released in four forms. First, we have the DX model that ships with no fans, and then we have the FX model that will ship with four Light Wings 140mm fans (1x standard, 3x reverse blade). These variants will be available in black or white.

As you can see below, this case feature tempered glass windows on the front and side of the chassis. The edges of the case also features a large number of RGB LED lights. Be quiet has confirmed that this model features 1.5 meters of RGB LED strips in its construction.

The killer feature of this case is its support for three case layouts. Changing layout is as simple as taking off this case’s tool-less feet and moving them. Users can opt for a standard ATX case layout. Alternatively, users can use either an inverted or a horizontal case layout.

Next up we have the Light Base 600, the smaller brother of the above 900. Like the 900, it is available with or without fans, though its LX model (with four Light Wings LX 140mm fans) will only be available in black.

The smaller size of this case limits the 600’s support for liquid cooling solutions, though it retains support for ATX motherboards. Like the 900, it can use in a standard, inverted, or horizontal case layout.
