Cooler Master have just launched their new MasterAir maker air cooler which not only supports modification by the end user, but is also the first cooler on the market to use 3D Vapor chambers, which should greatly help this coolers thermal performance.

As with all of Cooler Masters Master, or Maker, range it is a product that is best used when you really want to build something unique through either modding, 3D printing or by some other means.

To kick start the modding communities effort Cooler Master will provide all the dimensions that you will require to 3D print of otherwise fabricate something unique for the tip of your cooler, whether it be a custom LED mount or something much more advanced. Right now the dimensions of the coolers top are not online currently, but it will be by the time this hits the market.

The biggest innovation that is part of this cooler is it's inclusion of 3D Vapor chambers, which is a new design which combines the advantages of both a traditional vapor chamber and a traditional heatpipe, allowing this cooler to more efficiently transfer heat away from the CPU and to the outer fins of this CPU cooler.

Right now this does not seem to be the only thing that Cooler Master is starting to show off, with the company showing new Master Series power supplies, All-in-One water coolers and even standalone water cooling products.

Right now this seems to be the start of a completely new cooler master, but right now it remains to be seen whether their new designs will go down well with consumers.

But would it be possible to get it without the strange plastic shroud, mounting points for your own fans, a nickel plated base and heatpipes without tons of flux left and without the cooler master logo on top?Quote

I just won this cooler on another website. I just got tracking for it today. Looking forward to testing it out on an i5-6600K build I'm doing.

I used to have a Vapor Chamber CPU Cooler. This was a long time ago.
It did a good job for me. It was made by ASETEK.
