Corsair launches wood upgrade panels for their 4000 series and 5000 series PC cases

With Corsair's latest 4000 and 5000 series cases, PC builders have three options, an "Airflow" oriented mesh panels, a flat metal panels, or a tempered glass panels. Today, Corsair has delivered a third option, perforated wooden panels.

Available in Bamboo, Teak, and Sapele options, Corsar are offering users of their 4000 series and 5000 series cases the ability to upgrade the top and front panels of their cases with perforated wooden panels, offering PC builders the benefits of their existing "airflow" mesh panels but with a neat wooden twist.

For those who want a more natural look than the typical metal, plastic, or glass panels that we see with most PC case designs, these panel upgrade kits are a godsend. Separate panel kits are available for Corsair's 4000 series and 5000 series cases, with kits for these cases costing £49.99 and £69.99 respectively.

Personally, I think that Corsair's new Bamboo panels would look great with the company's 4000 and 5000 series White PC case models, giving the bright case a mor natural look and feel. It is a shame that Corsair has not pictured this combo on their website. They are seriously missing a trick there, as I feel that Corsair's white cases and bamboo panels are their most appealing combo.

Corsair has stated that these new panels provide the same airflow properties as their existing airflow panels, ensuring that users of Corsair's 4000 and 5000 series Airflow models will not see their PC thermals increase should they opt to upgrade to these new wooden panels.

When ThermalTake did this, everyone jumped on them like a witch hunt. Corsair do it, and things stay quiet Quote
