Corsair Ups Performance Scale for CPU Coolers
Â
High-performance memory manufacturer Corsair yesterday unveiled its latest Cooling Hydro Series H50 high-performance CPU coolers at Computex. Corsair claims the new cooler range, which has been developed in partnership with ASEtek âoutperforms stock CPU coolers by up to 30%â.
Â
ASEtek is recognized worldwide for its high-efficiency liquid cooling systems for high-performance computers and Corsairâs Hydro Series H50 is a perfect example of this. The new CPU cooler perfectly combines a copper CPU cooling plate with an integrated pump in a highly compact frame. This combination is connected to a 120mm radiator and a silent but highly-efficient fan.
Â
Cooling comes through the innovative closed-loop system, which has been pre-filled and fully connected through low permeability tubing. This cuts out evaporation and leaking issues seen in traditional liquid-cooling systems and makes the H50 an ideal cooler for extreme yet stable overclocking.
Â
Extolling the virtues of the new cooler, Corsairâs VP Marketing Jim Carlton said, âUntil today, most innovations in CPU cooling revolved around how to fit increasingly bulky and unmanageable heatpipe-based air coolers into a chassis. The new Hydro Series H50 changes the game, packing an incredible amount of cooling into a much more compact solution and delivering better performance than even high-end, dual-fan CPU coolers that barely squeeze into a system.âÂ
Â
The Hydro Series H50 is fitted with mounting brackets that are compatible with both Intel LGA775 and Intel LGA1366 socket motherboards. Buyers can also opt for AMDâs AM2 and AM3 socketsâ motherboard brackets at a slightly extra cost. The high-end CPU cooler will hit retail towards the end of the month and will be covered with Corsairâs standard two-year limited warranty.
