EK has released their new XRES 100 SPC-60 MX PWM pump reservoir combo, a value-oriented combo unit that looks perfect for use in a compact water cooled PC.

The EK-XRES 100 SPC-60 MX is powered by a single 4-pin PWN fan header, meaning that this pump can be connected directly to your PCs motherboard without the need for external power from Molex or SATA connections. This will also allow you to regulate the speed of your pump with software through your motherboard.

The unit has a single in and a single out port, both of which are compatible with standard G1/4 fittings and the pump uses a vibration dampened rubber mounting system to prevent any vibrations from moving from your pump to the rest of your PC.

This pump reservoir combo unit can be upgraded to support a longer reservoir tube, as it uses the same cylindrical reservoir tubes as EK's existing X3 series of reservoirs.

Right now this new pump reservoir combo is available from EK's Webshop for the price of €75.95 and will become available at partnered resellers soon.

Pretty cool idea if you think about it. They can make a super value orientated kit with this and in the future if the user wants a bigger res, they just buy the cylinder instead of a new pump as well.Quote
