Lian Li launches its LANCOOL 217 Mid-Tower PC case

With big fans and a lot of room for airflow, the LANCOOL 217 could be a must-have for gamers

Lian Li has officially launched its new LANCOOL 217 series PC cases, which succeed the company’s popular LANCOOL 216 chassis (review here). Out of the box, this case comes with five fans, ensuring high levels of airflow for users. This includes two 170mm fans, two 120mm reverse-blade fans, and a single 140mm fan.

At launch, this case will be available in Black and white. The black model will cost $119.99 while the white version will cost $124.99.

With its external wood elements, the LANCOOL 217 would look great in most spaces. These accents give the case a touch of warmth, which contrasts this design with modern “gamers” style PC cases. Even with these elements, this case remains highly functional, supporting motherboards up to EATX in size, and modern back-connect (ASUS BTF, MSI PZ etc) style motherboards.

Another neat feature of this case is the fact that PSUs inside it can be mounted at a 90-degree angle. This is only possible with 220mm and shorter power supplies. This makes the modular connectors on power supplies easier to access, making cable management easier.

At the top of the case, the LANCOOL 217 supports liquid cooling radiators up to 360mm or 280mm in size. The case also supports GPUs up to 380mm long, allowing the case to support even the largest GPUs on the market.
