Multiple EK Water Blocks bank accounts have been blocked

Is this the end of EK? Various EK Bank accounts have been blocked for unknown reasons

OC3D has been reporting on EK’s financial issues for months, and now it looks like things have gotten worse for the water block manufacturer. In August, we reported that the Slovenian company was being investigated over delayed payments to employees. Later, we confirmed that several critical employees had left the company. Now, it looks like several EK bank accounts have been blocked. This suggests that the company is in a poor financial position.

You can read about our thoughts on EK and their recent actions here. Simply put, their lack of or delayed payments to employees is unacceptable. It has happened for too long, and the financial and mental impact on employees has been tremendous. EK’s employees deserve better.

In their latest HW News video, Gamers Nexus revealed that several EK bank accounts have been blocked. We have confirmed this with our own research. Some accounts have now been blocked for two weeks, though it is unclear why these accounts have been blocked. However, it is unclear whether all of EK’s bank accounts have been blocked.

Gamers Nexus has claimed that one company could not pay EK because its payments were being “rejected or returned.” This suggests that EK’s bank account blocks may be impacting incoming and outgoing funds. Gamers Nexus has also stated that several employees and contractors are actively working on lawsuits against EK over non-payment.

EK is reportedly seeking a buyout

Rumour has it that EK’s CEO, Edvard Konig, is currently seeking a buyout for EK Water Blocks. Note that we have previously discussed this topic with other major PC companies. On the whole, we were told that the move wouldn’t be financially viable due to the debt that EK Water Blocks holds. However, that doesn’t mean that nobody is interested in buying EK.
