Noctua Show off Some new Designs at Computex
Noctua has been showing off a bunch of new fan designs at Computex 2015, with the most interesting being a next generation 120mm fan for radiators, which will spin faster, move more air and does so while being over 2 dB quieter, which is a very significant difference in noise levels.
The two pictures of the above fans are likely not of the next generation fans in question, but the top left does remind me of Gentle Typhoon fans, which were considered the best radiator fans in the business back when they were released.
Hopefully we will be seeing these new fans on the market soon, as we love quiet fans, especially if it does not come at the cost of performance.
One other thing Noctua has been showing at Computex, which really took me by surprise. Colour and Noctua don't traditionally come hand in hand, unless modders are doing some painting work.
Below is what Noctua call project Chromax, where Noctua produce Anti Vibration pads and mounts with colours other than beige. Right now we can see Blue, yellow, red, green and even black mounts. All of these mounts will be able to connect to any compatible 120mm or 140mm fan, whether it be industrial series, Redux series or traditional beige.
Noctua has always been a "fan" favorite amongst many PC enthusiasts, whether it is for their fan-tastic performance or just their non-standard colour scheme, so we look forward to seeing what they have in store for u in the future.
You can join the discussion on Noctua's new fan designs and coloured mounts on the OC3D Forums.
