Scythe EU is closing its doors due to financial issues

Scythe is closing down its European operations, but its products will remain available at retailers

Due to financial issues, Scythe EU is closing its doors. This will bring to an end the company’s European operations, with Scythe International taking control of customer support and distribution.

Scythe’s products will remain available in Europe. However, Scythe International will now handle customer support. Scythe has stated that a “transition period” has now started, transferring the duties of Scythe EU to Scythe International. This may cause problems due to the “unfinished matters” of Scythe’s European branch. During this transition period, there may be delays to warranty claims and other services, as is typical for these kinds of changes.

For consumers, not much will change. Scythe products will remain available through the same retailers as before. The only difference is that European customers will deal with Scythe International instead of Scythe EU.

While it is sad that Scythe’s European branch is closing, the good news is that Scythe products remain available on the continent. Furthermore, it is good to know that Scythe users in Europe will have their warranties honoured by Scythe International.
