AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D hits huge all-core CPU overclock
AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D hits 5.75 GHz all-core clock speed when tuned
An early AMD Ryzen 9850X3D CPU user has reportedly achieved an incredible overclock with AMD’s newest 8-core processor. The key benefit of AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D over the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is its higher clock speed. AMD’s newest X3D CPU boasts a boost clock speed that’s 400MHz higher than its predecessor. Now it looks like overclockers have achieved even higher clock speeds on all-cores.
AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D has a boost clock speed of 5.6 GHz. This is the maximum clock speed achievable during single-threaded workloads. Now it looks like an overclocker has managed to push AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D to 5.75 GHz on all cores. This gives AMD’s newest Ryzen X3D CPU more single-threaded and multi-threaded performance.
Based on overclocks from AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which can hit 5.4-5.6GHz on all cores, it looks like AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D will be more overclockable than its predecessor.

If this overclock is stable and uses reasonable voltages, it could provide a significant performance increase to gamers. With higher single-core and all-core clock speeds, all workloads would benefit from an overclock like this. That means higher levels of gaming and productivity performance. That said, overclocking always comes at a risk.
