AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX achieves 186K score in Cinebench
AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX achieves a top-5 Cinebench Score without sub-zero cooling
An overclocker known as SkyWalkerAMD has achieved a Cinebench R23 score of 186,800 points using AMD’s new Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX processor. This score is the highest Cinebench Score on HWBOT that has been set without sub-zero cooling.
SkyWalkerAMD’s Cinebench score was achieved using an unknown liquid cooling solution and ASUS’ Pro WS TRX50-Sage WIFI motherboard. The CPU was operating at an all-core clock speed of almost 5GHz, and a power draw of 948W. The CPU also reportedly hit temperatures of 98 degrees Celsius under load. A 5GHz all-core clock speed is an insane feat for a CPU with 96 cores. However, this score is not high enough to surpass LN2-cooled Ryzen Threadripper 7995WX results.
For context, an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPU achieves Cinebench R23 scores of around 41200 points out of the box. This Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX has achieved a score that is 4.5x higher than that. With further overclocking and LN2 cooling, it is likely that AMD’s newest Threadripper CPUs will soon set a new world record Cinebench score.

If SkyWalkerAMD or other overclockers can overclock AMD’s new Threadripper flagship further with LN2 cooling, we may see a new world record in the near future. AMD’s last-generation Threadripper CPUs have been pushed to 6GHz under LN2 cooling. If the same can be achieved with Ryzen Threadripper 9000, a score of 220,000 should be possible.
