AMD Readies A8-7690K and A10-7890K APUs

It looks like AMD is readying some new APUs in the form of their A8-7690K and A10-7890K, both of which feature clock speed improvements over their predecessors with no increase in TDP.

Right now we do not know if the GPU sections of these APUs will have any form of clock speed enhancement, but we do know that the CPU side of APU will have a nice bump in clock speeds, with the A10-7890K having a 200MHz higher clock speed than it's predecessor (4.2GHz) and the A8-7690K having a 100MHz clock speed increase (3.7GHz).

Both of these CPUs will act as direct replacements for AMD's existing A8-7670 and AMD's A10-7870K APUs and will feature incremental performance improvements.

These APUs will function on AMD's existing FM2+ socket motherboards but will may require a BIOS update in order to function properly.

I'm hoping Their top end Zen CPU's will be a proper return to the enthusiast market, I'd love to be rocking an all AMD rig again Quote
