AMD Ryzen marketing slides leak

Ryzen marketing designs from AMD have leaked online via Videocardz, showcasing AMD’s plans for their Ryzen architecture to market themselves as performance leaders for 8-core CPUs and offer a lot more value for money that Intel’s current offerings.

The slide below shows that AMD;s Ryzen 1800X has a 9% performance advantage over Intel’s i7 6900K, with the same performance per core. At this time the pricing for AMD’s Ryzen 1800X has not been revealed, though previous leaks have given this CPU a price of around $500, which is 50% of the cost of Intel’s i7 6900K.

Moving to AMD’s Ryzen 1700X, we can see that AMD claims some insane performance advantages over Intel’s i7 6800K, which is expected to come at a similar price. While this CPU comes with reduced performance per core it offers a huge increase in multi-threaded performance y offering two more cores and four more threads than Intel’s competitor.

It seems like AMD is planning to market their Ryzen series CPUs as an affordable alternative to Intel that offers the same, if not greater performance than their Intel equivalents.

Hopefully, AMD will release more information on their Ryzen CPU architecture soon, as it would be great to see some finalised information from AMD personally.
